Hamiltons Tented Camp Hotel Review Kruger National Park South African Safari Holiday Lodge Lion Elephant Cheetah Bird Watching Photography Astronomy

HOTELS REVIEW - HAMILTONS TENTED CAMP KRUGER PARK SAFARI
Stay in a luxury tent – and by “luxury” we mean one with butler service – at Hamiltons, a tented safari camp in the Kruger National Park, accessed from Orpen Gate. With six tents sleeping up to 12 people, this is an intimate safari experience. The camp is unfenced, so wildlife moves freely through it. Each air-conditioned tent has a king-size bed, mosquito nets, ceiling fan, slipper bath, an outdoor shower overlooking a dam and a private veranda. Tents also have an intercom service. There is a secluded swimming pool. The camp is named after Colonel Stephenson Hamilton, who was instrumental in establishing the Kruger Park. Guests go on game drives in open-top 4x4s, bush walks tracking wildlife through the veld and bird watching in a hide overlooking a waterhole. Expect to see the Big Five (lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and buffalo) and much more. No children under 8. Kids aged 8-12 ride in a separate vehicle with their parents on game drives and are also catered for separately at dinner.
