Bongani Mountain Lodge Hotel Reviews, Kruger National Park South African Safari Holiday Tour Accommodation Bushmen Rock Art Painting Leopard Lion Cats

HOTELS REVIEW - KRUGER NATIONAL PARK, SOUTH AFRICAN SAFARIS
Bongani Mountain Lodge is a 5-star safari hotel in the mountains south of the Kruger National Park, with Bushmen paintings on its land. It's said to be a favourite relaxing spot of Nelson Mandela. The timber and thatch chalets are spread out across a mountain ridge with sweeping views of the valley. All have air-conditioning and ceiling fans, verdandas and ensuites. There are nine suites, ideal for families. The design is an eclectic mixture of traditional ethnic and funky Afro-chic. The lodge has a lounge, bar, curio shop and swimming pool. Fireside dinners are held in a traditional Swazi boma, a reeded enclosure. Morning and evening game drives in open Land Rovers are led by expert rangers. Rhino, elephant and buffalo are often sighted. Guided walks take in the famous rock art sites and the Matsulu theatre group gives powerful performances of plays such as Horn of Sorrow, the story of the critically endangered Black Rhino.
