HOTELS REVIEW - UBIZANE WILDLIFE RESERVE KWAZULU NATAL

The reserve is in the centre of Zululand, a two-hour drive from Durban, and is adjacent to the Hluhluwe/Umfolozi Game Reserve. There are two lodges to choose from: Zululand Tree Lodge and Zululand Safari Lodge. All rooms are raised above ground on stilts, have double beds, mosquito nets, ceiling fans, tea/coffee-making facilities and mini-bar fridge (stocked on request). There are buffet-style meals available, as well as a swimming pool. Activities include early-morning and late-afternoon game-drives, guided walks with trained rangers, and horseback safaris for novice and experienced horse-riders. Conference facilities are available. The lodge welcomes children of all ages but children under 16 are not allowed on guided walks.
