The Ambre is a 4-star resort hotel on Belle Mare beach on the East Coast of Mauritius. 246 rooms including 20 presidential suites. Presidential suites have private access to the beach. The hotel also has 26 family rooms which consist of two connecting rooms, both with a terrace. Standard en-rooms are equipped with air-conditioning, king size beds, lounge, TV, video (2 channels), radio, mini-bar, individual safe, bidets, double sinks, hair dryers. The hotel’s lounge upstairs overlooks the lagoon and has two additional air-conditioned lounges that serves as conference facilities. For entertainment there is a main bar with dance floor, beach bar, night club and a piano bar. Services available include car rental, taxis, luggage service with porter, bookings, secretarial/fax services, dry cleaning, boutiques, a hairdresser and a hotel spa. There are a variety of land and water sports to take part in, including tennis, beach volley, beach mini football, mini golf, badminton, table tennis, keep fit circuits, aqua-gym and aerobics, skiing, sailing dinghy, windsurfing, pedal crafting, kayaking and glass bottom boating. The hotel also offers a diving centre with trained instructors. The mini club is responsible for the entertainment of children between the ages of 3 and 6. There is a swimming pool, restaurant and bar.
