HOTELS REVIEW - CONSTANTIA UITSIG HOTEL CAPE TOWN SOUTH AFRICA
Constantia Uitsig is a luxury 5-star country hotel set amongst vineyards in a private wine estate in the shadow of Cape Town's Table Mountain. Meaning "Constantia View", the hotel is aptly named for its unique position, offering wide vistas of the mountains, sea and vineyards. The hotel has 6 spacious luxury suites with en-suite bathrooms, separate sitting rooms, air-conditioning and private patios with sweeping valley views. Guests wanting more privacy can use the apartment which has 2 or 3 bedrooms, private lounge and dining area that includes a chef's kitchen. Facilities on the farm include restaurants, guest lounge and bar, swimming pools, wine shop, horse riding, wine tasting, picnics and cricket at the oval . The hotel's picturesque setting makes it an ideal wedding venue.

"An absolute gem!" We were in the Cape Town area for two weeks, and we stumbled on this in our first week, looking for a great restaurant. We booked on impulse for one night, and ended up staying 3. My partner and I have travelled very widely, and this is without a doubt a gem. We moved rooms halfway - a consequence of not booking in advance, and both rooms were beautiful, spacious, lots of lovely touches, like the complimentary bottle of Constantia Uitsig wine in the room with a handwritten note! And the breakfasts......!!! You could not want for a better breakfast away. The wonderful lady that serves you in the morning always has something up her chef sleeve. I loved the french toast with bananas and bacon. It was a brillant way to start the days sightseeing. As others have said, the setting is beautiful and we have lots of photos! If you go - check out the private cricket pitch set amongst the vines. And I haven't even mentioned the 2 fabulous restaurants. La Colombe is supposed to be one of the best in the world. Personally we preferred the Constantia Uitsig - an italian flavour, but both were spectacular meals, and moments from your own front door. We fell in love with each other again and with this lovely place. We'll definately be back
