The four-star Whale Rock Lodge is a perfect base from which to explore the Hermanus region. The lodge, only 3km from the centre of town, has 11 en-suite rooms – three with king-size beds, two with queen-size beds and six with three-quarter twin beds. All 11 rooms have full bathrooms with bath and separate shower. All rooms have TV, fans, telephones, hairdryers, heaters, clock radios and electric blankets. Room service tea and coffee is provided between 7am to 8pm. Each room has a sitting area and a separate entrance into the garden. A full English breakfast is served in the sun room, overlooking the pool and the lodge’s koi pond and waterfall. Children under six years of age are not permitted.
