The Cathedral Peak Hotel has an abundance of game birds, plants, rock art and picturesque scenery. Accommodation on offer ranges from family rooms and bungalows to honeymoon suites. All rooms are equipped with tea/coffee making facilities, heaters, telephones, televisions and en-suite bathrooms with both bath and shower. The honeymoon suites have a TV, mini-bar, electric fireplace, spa bath and views. Indoor activities include table tennis, a games room, pool, darts, a gym with steam bath and beauty therapist and a bar with big screen TV. Everything about this hotel is professional and the family atmosphere remains, despite the hotel being large and running at a very high occupancy. The food was very good.
Great - just the right setting to chill out after the early starts in the Kruger. The setting was quite spectacular. We took advantage of one of the guided walks on the first day - only a couple of hours easy going! - but spent the second largely sitting around reading and relaxing
Excellent. The Drakensberg Mountains were spectacular. We walked for miles, just taking in the dramatic scenery. Our only disappointment was that after a two hour uphill hike to Mushroom Rock, the battery went flat in our camera!
We loved the hotel and are hoping to return
