La Gemma Dell' Est is in the North of Zanzibar Island, near Kwenda Rocks and an hours drive away from Stone Town. It is the largest resort in Zanzibar with 93 standard rooms, 16 suites, 1 family suite, 28 villa club rooms, with personal butler service and one five bedroom presidential villa. All rooms are terraced and have sea views and are equipped with mosquito nets, air conditioning, ceiling fans, satellite television, safe and mini bar. The resort has a swimming pool that has a children's area as well as a jacuzzi. There is also an outdoor gym and wellness centre and a large wharf that is built into the waters of the Indian Ocean, a well-equipped water sports centre that caters for windsurfing, canoeing and an internationally recognised diving centre (PADI).
