"Incredible Elephant Experience"
Abu Camp provides a totally unique safari experience on elephant back. The "tented" lodge and accommodations are gorgeous and elegant, the food superb complemented by an excellent wine collection. The staff from the manager Richard and his wife Lynne to the guides and elephant drivers were outstanding. We were there in March and the delta was starting to flood earlier than normal which also gave us an opportunity to take dugout canoe excursions. Riding the elephants was a unique experience which provided a high view over the other animals encountered. We saw plenty of wild elephants, giraffe, zebra, hippo, etc but unfortunately did not see any of the big cats during our stay though other guests did while we were there. All in all a magical experience that while expensive will provide memories for a lifetime and is well worth the price.
