Gunns Main Camp is set under leafy palms and african ebony trees overlooking Chiefs Island and bordering the Moremi Game Reserve. The camp has 7 luxury spacious meru tents with en-suite bathrooms and an elevated thatched honeymoon chalet overlooking the main channel of the Delta with private veranda. There is an elevated main lodge with swimming pool. Main activities are mokoro and powerboat excursions in the delta and game walks with experienced guides. Chiefs Island has one the of largest populations of wildlife in the Delta and sightings may include lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and packs of wild dogs. The concession is also home to hippo, crocodiles, zebra and a variety of antelope including the red lechwe. The camp is a birders paradise, with over 240 species of bird including the rare Pel’s Fishing Owl and the endangered wattled crane. What did you think?
