Pom Pom Camp Hotel Reviews Okavango Delta Botswana Safari Holiday Tour Accommodation Wildlife

HOTELS REVIEW - POM POM CAMP OKAVANGO BOTSWANA SAFARI LODGE
Pom Pom is a safari camp situated on an island in the famous Okavango Delta, whose lagoons and channels are fed by the floodwaters of Angola and is rich in wildlife. Overlooking a lagoon, the camp is situated under a canopy of shady trees and offers 9 luxury meru-styled safari tents with a semi-open en-suite bathroom. Guests are able to bathe by candlelight in the evening whilst overlooking the Delta below. The camp offers a thatched central building which houses the lounge, dining room, bar, boma and pool area. Activities include guided game drives, night drives, walks, mokoros (dugout canoes) and fishing. Guests will see big game and predators including giraffe, elephant, crocodiles, the big cats, buffalo and hippo - as well as a wide variety of bird life (aquatic, forest and bushveld). What did you think?

I just got back from Pom Pom this June and I have to say this was the best of the many highlights of a trip through Southern Africa. The facilities exceeded my expectation and for once the pictures on the web site are not as good as the reality of the camp. The staff was very knowledgable and made me as a single traveler feel very welcome. Saw all kinds of animals, but in particular the nightly sightings of the leopards was something I will never forget. Fresh baked bread and good food every day just added to the experience. The nights were clear so the the stars were the brightest I had ever seen. I highly recommend.

"A little piece of Heaven in the Okavango!"
We loved Pom Pom! Everyone at the camp was wonderful and gracious. Our guides, Shakes and Sereste, were experts on all the wildlife that we experienced and amazed us with their knowledge. We also enjoyed our daily "cocktail hour" out in the bush, watching the sun set around us. Nigel and Stephanie were wonderful hosts, right down to having delicious vegetarian meals for us! The safari accomodations were excellent- especially the hot water bottles in our beds during the cold African nights.
