Glen Avon is a luxury 4-star Cape-Dutch style lodge situated in the heart of the Constantia Winelands. The lodge is set amidst a charming garden, a 15-minute drive from Cape Town and the Indian & Atlantic Oceans. It is close to Kirstenbosch Gardens, several historical wine farms, 4 championship golf courses and fine several restaurants. All luxury en-suite bedrooms are garden facing and equipped with TV, tea/coffee making facilities and a fully stocked mini-bar. The lodge also offers Superior rooms with private patio's, air-conditioning and Internet access. Facilities include a salt water, solar heated swimming pool. Glen Avon is a member Good Cooks. "Fantastic"Glen Avon Lodge is a comfortable guesthouse with large, nicely decorated rooms and beautiful bathrooms. They are recognised locally for their food, so definitely eat there... it's brilliant. It's about 15 minutes away from the centre of Cape Town in the very up-market area of Constansia - where Bono and Michael Jackson own houses .It sounds quite a way away from the V&A front... but everyone has to drive to get places in Cape Town...so it's not a problem. It's also lovely to have options of other surrounding areas to eat out. The Lodge is a family business with a few extra staff. They are extremely helpful and personable... they will have a laugh and a joke with you, but also respect your space. Glen Avon is based closer to the less commercial beaches which is a good thing. We would definitely stay here again!
