HOTELS REVIEW - TSWALU KALAHARI RESERVE
Tswalu is South Africa’s largest privately owned game reserve situated in the malaria free region of the Kalahari Desert, Kuruman. It consists of Montse and Tarkuni camps. Montse has eight small suites and can accommodate up to 20 people. Each of these suites overlook a watering hole and consist of a spacious bedroom, en-suite facilities with both indoor and outdoor walk-in shower, large private lounge with fireplace, sundeck, direct dial telephone, safe, mini bar and outdoor heated swimming pool. Tarkuni is situated in a private area of the reserve and is perfect for families and small groups of 8-12 guests. There are four rooms with en-suite facilities and outdoor heated shower, lounge, dining room, covered patio and heated swimming pool. Special accommodation for children with nanny quarters are available. Private game viewing vehicles and chefs are provided. A private air-shuttle operates seven days a week. Activities on offer include game drives, bird watching, guided walks, ethno-botany and photography, horse riding and visiting archaeological sites as well as golfing at the nearby Sishen Golf Course.
