HOTEL REVIEWS - ZIMBALI KWAZULU NATAL
Situated on the north coast of KwaZulu Natal, Zimbali consists of two separate estates, namely Zimbali Coastal Forest Estate and Zimbali Golf Course Estate.

The Forest Estate has 250 units in an indigenous coastal forest, interconnected by wooden pathways and viewing decks. Room features include views of the sea, lagoon or forest. Facilities include TV, radio, bathroom with separate shower, hairdryer, international electrical plug points, and air-conditioning. There are natural springwater lakes in the surrounds, which create a habitat for many species of birds, making this prime bird-watching territory. The forest is a reserve and has many animal species, including bushbuck, blue duiker, bush babies, mongoose and vervet monkey. There is also a 3km stretch of beach available to guests.

The Golf Course Estate overlooks the Indian Ocean and is surrounded by indigenous gardens. The lodge is five-star rated and features luxury Victorian-style bathrooms and is stocked with snacks and drinks. There are 76 rooms in total, divided into Luxury Suites, King Bedrooms, and Twin Bedrooms. Standard room features and facilities include views of the sea, lagoon or forest, 24-hour butler service, telephone with computer connection, daily newspaper delivery, satellite TV, radio, bathroom with separate shower, hairdryer, international electrical plug points, and air-conditioning. Activities include tennis, swimming, horse-riding, bird-watching, health spa and curio shopping. Conference facilities are available. Children are welcome, however, conditions apply.
