Rusthuiz is a 4-star guesthouse situated in the picturesque Stellenbosh Valley, nestled between vineyards, rivers and craggy mountains. Set in a formal Victorian garden with swimming pool, the hotel offers 7 air-conditioned en-suite bedrooms, including a honeymoon suite. Rusthuiz is situated fairly close to the historic Stellenbosch town centre. Wine tours can be arranged as well as championship golf, horse riding and walking trails.What did you think?

"Wonderful hotel"
We stayed for 2 nights in January 2006. It is the most beautiful guest house/hotel. We stayed in Room no. 2 which is beautifully decorated and so comfortable with a huge balcony. Everywhere is absolutly spotless. Parking is secure and safe.Breakfast was excellent in a comfortable dining room or you could eat on the verandah. At breakfast a little boy asked for a croissant and they hadn't got any but within minutes someone was dispatched up road to the the bakery to buy some for him - nothing was too much trouble!
It is about 10 minutes walk to the lovely town centre with some good restaurants and we walked there and back (in the dark) and it is quite safe.The Rusthuiz is not cheap but well worth it and if we go back that way again we will definately stay there again.
