Steeped in history and resounding with the spirit of battle, Spioenkop Lodge is a beautifully restored Natal colonial homestead on the site of the British commander Sir Redvers Buller's headquarters during the Anglo-Boer War. Spionkop Lodge offers luxurious 4-star en-suite chalets and a magnificent dining hall. Lodge facilities include an historic library, swimming pool and chapel. Activities available include battlefield tours, a cruise on the dam, horse riding, canoeing and fishing.

This was our favourite hotel. Tranquil, friendly staff, good food, superb rooms. Boat trip on Spioenkop Lake was sensational - a must for all future guests at this lodge
