Royal Livingstone is expensive but well worth it. What a location, what accommodation, what staff. Just superb and well warranting its membership of Leading Hotels of the World. Just the end we wanted to an excellent holiday.

Absolute luxury and so worth the upgrade

Wonderful. Helicopter flight was great and we also arranged an elephant back safari!

The Royal Livingstone was spectacular and certainly ranks as one of the best hotels we have stayed in. We could easily have spent all our holiday here and will definitely return. It was with some regret that we left Livingstone.

The standards here have clearly dropped. Spent the last three days of our honeymoon here in Feb 08 - my husband changed our booking as a surprise. Was memorable but for all the wrong reasons. Mouldy shower in room, shoddy furniture, dirty bedding, too many staff falling over each other during breakfast/dinner that you received poor service... we certainly don't think it was worth the money we paid. Ended up eating at the Zambezi Sun one evening and got treated like royalty! If my husband had known the hotels were 5mins walking distance from one another we could have saved the money paid for the upgrade and spent that on things like the afternoon tea, helicopter trip, elephant ride, etc.

Excellent. We could not fault it at all in any respect, especially the location. One recommendation I would make is for those who wish to go to the Victoria Falls - the helicopter ride is a must do activity. You really see the falls for what they are and the whole dimension of them. Absolutely awe-inspiring and should be recommended. A wonderful holiday - we both loved it.
