Rovuma Carlton is a luxury 4-star business hotel in central Maputo, Mozambique. The hotel has 200 fully air-conditioned en-suite rooms, comprising of 8 apartments, 34 executive suites, 31 executive rooms and 127 standard rooms, all with fabulous views of Maputo, some with balconies. There are non-smoking rooms as well rooms with internet connectivity. The Monomutapa Restaurant in the hotel bears the name of a royal warrior from Gaza province. The hotel also has a coffee shop, pool bar , sauna, a fresh water swimming pool and a gymnasium. Golf, tennis and squash, horse riding nearby.

We spent 2 nights at the Rovuma and what a joy. The room was clean and they catered to our every need. The staff was friendly and very helpful with all our requirements, despite the language barrier! The decor of the restuarant and bars are superb and comfortable. We will definitely go back there! One downside that others may see is that the neighbouring buildings are run down (as in most of Maputo) and the roads are dirty. Quite frankly it only added to our experience of their culture. Definitely not a city for the narrow minded and dreamy person......
