HOTELS REVIEW - LONDO LODGE PEMBA QUIRIMBAS NATIONAL PARK
Londo Lodge is a luxury 5-star beach resort hotel on a private peninsula overlooking Pemba. The lodge has 10 private villas, made with timber, bamboo and makuti thatched roofing.The villas are equipped with a spacious bathroom with outdoor shower, air-conditioning and a private deck with splendid sunset views. Facilities include a restaurant, cigar bar, swimming pool and library. Activities include safaris in Quirimbas National Park and watersports such as sailing, windsurfing, water skiing, big game fishing, sunset dhow cruises and mangrove river trips.

Londo Lodge can only be described as a haven of peace and tranquillity, a real home away from home. Stayed here in July for four nights as part of our honeymoon – we had a wonderful time and were made to feel really welcome by the owners.
The rooms were spacious and elegantly designed and decorated and the outdoor shower is a real treat. The grounds of the hotel are immaculately kept and the lanterns along the path at night are a real nice touch to guide you home to bed at the end of another day in paradise.
The pool and restaurant have stunning views across the bay and the food was simply out of this world. From the delicious breakfasts with Dutch Pancakes, to whole local crabs for lunch to homemade sushi for dinner – meal time were definitely something that we looked forward to. There was no set menu and if you didn’t fancy what was on offer then a range of alternatives was offered.
There was a good / friendly dive centre and some good watersports on offer from skiing to ringos. The walk to the local village is well worth doing.
The area is truly amazing and all in we were very impressed with both Mozambique and Londo. The hotel has only been open just over a year and the resident owners have taken great care to make the place luxurious whilst remaining homely. Whilst it is a great place additional facilities such as a suite with plunge pool, Single Malt bar and a Cigar Lounge are still to be added. We will definitely visit this hotel again.
