HOTEL REVIEW - BUFFELSDRIFT GAME LODGE OUDTSHOORN SOUTH AFRICA
The four-star Buffelsdrift Game Lodge is a game farm in the Cango Valley, 7km from Oudtshoorn and at the foot of the Swartberg Mountains. The Lodge is near a 5 ha natural waterhole, which attracts elephants, rhino and Cape buffalo (three of the Big Five), giraffe, hippo, springbok and more. Buffelsdrift Game Lodge has 25 tented units. There are nine Superior units, each on the water’s edge with a sundeck overlooking the waterhole. Superior units have an en-suite bathroom (with a private outdoor shower, hot and cold water) and dual airconditioning. Tea/coffee facilities, digital safe, mini bar, hairdryer and telephone are provided. Lodge-hosted activities include Bush Safari, Elephant Walk Safari (guests join three baby elephants for a stroll), Elephant Feeding Experience, Horseback Safari and guided walks. The lodge has a swimming pool, conference venue, restaurant and wedding chapel.
