The Cabanas is a 3 star family hotel forming part of the famous Sun City resort in the Pilanesberg area of the North West Province of South Africa. Positioned on the edge of a lake, the Cabanas Hotel is relaxed and casual. Family Cabanas provide standard air conditioned rooms with TV and radio and are slightly larger than the Standard Cabanas. All rooms have direct dial telephones, air conditioning, pay TV, radio, hairdryer, tea/coffee making facilities, message service and a mini bar. The hotel has three restaurants and a pool bar situated on a terrace overlooking the swimming pool. Guests can enjoy the facilities of the entire Sun City resort such as the Valley of the Waves, Waterworld, windsurfing, water skiing and various other water sports. There are two different golf courses: The Gary Player Country Club which is home to the Nedbank Million Dollar Golf Challenge and the Lost City Golf Course with live crocodiles at the thirteenth. The adjoining Pilanesberg National Park is home to Africa's Big Five.
