Cape Cadogan Hotel Reviews Cape Town South Africa Swimming Pool Holiday Safari Tour Accommodation

HOTELS REVIEW - CAPE CADOGAN HOTEL CAPE TOWN
Cape Cadogan is a 4-star boutique hotel situated in the Gardens area of Cape Town. It was originally a farmhouse which was 'Victorianised' in 1912 and declared a national monument in 1984. Cape Cadogan offers 12 luxuriously appointed en suite bedrooms decorated with an eclectic mix of contemporary and antique furniture. Facilities include a comfortable lounge with an open fireplace, a garden and pool area, and library where you can relax.

"Modern chic in a historic setting"
A real gem hidden away from the bustle of Cape Town's busy main streets but in turn, within walking distance of them. The main building is a great colonial house that has been sympathetically modernised to a very high standard and then ouside are a couple of mediterranean style courtyards flanking the stunning Owners Villa. The room was fantastic with high ceilings and one of the best bathrooms you`ll find in a hotel. This has to be the closest you'll get to a classic british 5* Town House hotel in Africa!! Really is a great place to stay.

"Liesl, the GM is the best hotel manager we've encoutered in our travels" From the moment we arrived for a 7 night stay until our departure Liesl and her staff provided an excellent personal service. The mews was beautifully decorated in a minimalist style (like a Manhattan loft apartment), spotlessly clean, every requirement met. Two suggestions - 1) TV link to either CNN or SKY would have been helpful in the evenings as the SABC was pretty dire and the other 3 channels available were worse! 2) A direct telephone link to reception would have been helpful in the case of emergencies and we had one when by mistake keys were given to adjoining apartment to our own. This was speedily resolved and the locks changed within hours which was an impressive response indeed. One reservation regarding the mews flat is that it is in a noisy dark street with occasional drunks and dossers hanging about which at night does not feel entirely safe. The Cape Cadogan however is a haven of peace, safety and excellent service which I would have no hesitation in recommending to Cape Town visitors.
