HOTELS REVIEW - RITZ CAPE TOWN SOUTH AFRICA BEACH
The Ritz is a 3-star high-rise hotel located 1 km from Victoria & Albert Waterfront Development, with spectacular views of mountain and city. The hotel has 222 comfortable bedrooms. The hotel's most popular attraction is the revolving restaurant which provides supreme views of Cape Town. The tranquil swimming pool and deck provides a spacious relaxation area adjoining the sun-filled terrace and Cafe Biar Ritz.

Difficult to rate this one! Stayed here twice in February 2007 at beginning and end of Cape tour...The building itself is spectacularly ugly from the outside. But inside public areas were generally in good decorative order and well maintained. Staff were friendly.
Decor and furnishings in both rooms was tired, but rooms were very clean.
Amazing views though, particularly in first room, which was on a corner with windows on two sides looking out over Cape Town.Small swimming pool at rear of building was a nice place to relax and cool off.Breakfasts generally OK, with wide choice of items. But the crowning glory of the Ritz has to be the revolving restaurant at the top of the building, which has fantastic views. For well under £15 you can have a amply-portioned, three-course dinner with wine while watching the sun go down over the ocean.
