HOTELS REVIEW –PLANTATION HOTEL, MAURITIUS
La Plantation is a luxury 4 star hotel situated in a sheltered bay on the Nort West coast, 15 minutes drive from Mauritius' main town. There are 276 air-conditioned bedrooms of which there are 106 junior suites and 8 senior suites overlooking either the sea or garden. All rooms are equipped with king sized beds, TV and safe. Bathrooms have a bathtub, double hand basin, hairdryer and separate toilet. The main restaurant is situated by the swimming pool and open for large international buffet breakfasts and dinners. Air-conditioned, multipurpose lounges and committee rooms are available and ideal as venues to host seminars and cocktail functions (48 - 140 persons). There is car hire available, a taxi service, secretarial services, fax, internet and laundry. The hotel has various shops (fashion, press, model ships, souvenirs), a hairdresser, massage facilities and 24 hr room-service. Outdoor activities include tennis, volley-ball, ping-pong, billiards, bocciball, water-skiing, windsurfing, mono-sailing, pedalos, canoing, glass bottom boat trips, snorkelling and a diving centre with qualified coaches (PADI & CMAS). The hotel also has a health centre with gym, sauna, jacuzzis, jet shower, aquatic gym and aerobics. There is a Miniclub available for children (3 to 7 years), a game floor and kiddies room. Babysitting is available on request at an extra cost.
