"Just Fantastic Hotel I loved it so much"We stayed here for 4 nigths at the end of our first but not our last trip to South Africa. The hotel is magnificent and the service was firts rate. We upgraded to a luxury room snd it was worth every penny. This hotel has a superb coloniel feel to it and the outside breakfasts were just to die for. GO go now and you will love it.

"nice, but not at the price" The Mount Nelson Hotel was the first stop on arrival in Capetown, and we reckoned it would be a nice place to relax for a few days before hiring a car and moving on. And nice it was, but at that sort of price nice is not quite anough. Nothing you could put your finger on, everything ran smoothly, the room was fine, the food was good, the pool was relaxing, everything was clean. But no wow. Nothing that would set it apart from other luxery hotels and that would make you determined to return... Apart from one thing that will be recalled - the afternoon tea! A description that suggests something dainty - a cup of tea and a nibble. Hardly adaquate for the feast that was laid out every afternoon and that ran for hours. So thats about all that can be said. A great afteroon tea, a nice hotel. But not memorable.

Our trip to Cape Town was excellent in every way. The hotel was excellent and service, food etc to match. The afternoon teas are definitely not to be missed.
