HOTEL REVIEW - HOUT BAY MANOR
Built in 1871 and originally known as the Royal Hotel, Hout Bay Manor is a traditional Cape Colonial style hotel that has been recently restored to create a modern and unique African hotel. Each of the twenty-one rooms at the manor has been individually decorated and named. All the rooms have air conditioning, plasma screen satellite televisions, telephones and Internet connectivity. The Sangoma Suite has its own private entrance, two luxury rooms and two private balconies overlooking the manor's gardens and swimming pool. The in-house restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as light meals and snacks during the day. There is an open plan lounge and bar where evening drinks can be enjoyed as well as a library and wine cellar. The manor also offers a range of beauty treatments, including massages, that can be enjoyed in the privacy of the guests own rooms at the manor.
