Treetops Hotel Reviews Aberdare National Park Kenya Holiday Safari Accommodation Game Viewing Drives Photography Waterhole

HOTELS REVIEW - TREETOPS HOTEL
Visitors to the Treetops Hotel begin their journey at the base camp - the Outspan Hotel - where transport is provided for the 17km trip to Treetops. The Treetops Hotel is famous for its hosting of Princess Elizabeth in 1952 on the night her father, King George VI, died and she became Queen Elizabeth II. Treetops is located in the heart of the Aberdare National Park and is built on stilts, with the hotel overlooking a waterhole and salt lick and providing for a view of Mount Kenya and the local wildlife attracted to the waterhole, including elephants and rhino. Game drives are also available, either a full day game drive through the Aberdare mountain range or a shorter two hour option. There are 50 twin bedrooms, four decks and a rooftop viewing platform and two ground level photographic hides at either end of the lodge to provide for great photo opportunities for keen photographers. There is a lounge and bar available for guests. No children under the age of five are allowed to stay at Treetops Hotel.
