HOTELS REVIEW - MADIKWE HILLS PRIVATE GAME LODGE

Traversing over 75 000 hectares, Madikwe Hills Private Game Lodge is situated on a hill, in the heart of the malaria-free Madikwe Game Reserve. The Madikwe Game Reserve is home not only to the Big Five, but also to a wealth of other fascinating creatures, including the rare Wild Dog. Madikwe Hills consists of a Main Lodge, a private camp and Little Madikwe Hills, accommodating 24 guests in total. At the Main Lodge, 10 luxurious glass-fronted suites complete with their own deck and private plunge pools, offer privacy and majestic views. The rooms have sofas, mosquito netting and cotton linen. In winter, guests can make use of the fireplaces and under-floor heating whilst in summer they can use overhead fans, air-conditioning and outside showers to keep cool. The Main Lodge does not accommodate children under the age of ten years. Separate from the Main Lodge is Little Madikwe Hills which has a 2 bedroom suite, its own private Land Rover and game ranger as well as a personal butler. Two additional standard suites can also be reserved to form a completely private camp, which accommodates up to 8 guests. Facilities at the private camp include veranda's, plunge pools, outside showers, fireplaces, under-floor heating, air-conditioning, a large swimming pool and a reception room equipped with satellite TV and a DVD collection. Well suited for families. There is also a permanent child minder on hand for young family bookings. Guests have access to a library, an internet connection in the library, TV, fine dining, wine cellar, boma, ‘Spafaris’, gym, bush walks, game drives and bird watching.
