Jaci's Safari and Tree Lodge Hotel Reviews Kalahari Weddings Fireplace Jungle Shower Forest Pool Safaris Kiddies Activities

HOTELS REVIEW - JACI'S SAFARI LODGE & JACI'S TREE LODGE
Two privately owned lodges situated in the malaria free Madikwe Game Reserve boasting 75,000 hectares of "Big 5" territory. Wild dog, black and white rhino, sable, gemsbok, springbok and giraffe, as well as over 340 species of birds can be seen. Built around an ancient termite mound overlooking an established and well used water hole, Jaci’s Safari Lodge is complete with stone and canvas walls and a shaggy thatched roof to create a safari atmosphere. There are eight thatched rooms, each with en-suite bathroom and outside shower. Seven of the rooms have twin beds and the eighth room has a king size four poster bed. Each room has a hand made ceramic fireplace surrounded by a stone chimney, a deck and canvas sides to create a “tented feel”. Children sharing with their parents are accommodated on camping stretchers in the rooms. A maximum of 3 children are allowed per room. Facilities include an enclosed boma, bush braai, swimming pool and craft shop.
Jaci’s Tree Lodge has eight "Tree Houses", each encompassing a giant Tamboetie or Leadwood Tree. Each “Tree House” is constructed amongst the riverine forest on stilts up to four meters from the ground. They are spacious with open plan, en-suite bathrooms with a stone bath and outdoor shower. There is a deck in front of the room and a forest pool. The main building includes a bar and lounge area. Children of all ages are welcome. Children aged 10 and younger, sharing with their parents, qualify for a special rate & activities, including specialised children’s safaris. Wedding packages also available (5 – 80 guests).
