HOTELS REVIEW - HLUHLUWE RIVER LODGE KWAZULU NATAL

The lodge is on the shore of Lake St Lucia. There are 12 luxury thatched chalets. Chalets range from two- to four-beds and honeymoon chalets are available. Chalets have air-conditioners and mosquito nets as standard. A swimming pool is available for guests. There are many activities on offer at the lodge, including game-drives, walking trails and the Lake St Lucia Boat Cruise. The lodge is known for being the oldest proclaimed reserve and helping to save the White Rhino from extinction. All the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino) can be viewed in the reserve from open-top Land Rovers. There are many species of birds and water-dwelling animals, such as otters, hippo, and Nile crocodiles.
