HOTELS REVIEW - ELSA'S KOPJE LODGE
Elsa's Kopje was named after Elsa the lioness made famous in the film 'Born Free' and released into the wild in Meru. Elsa's Kopje Lodge is situated on the hillside of Mughwango Hill overlooking the Meru National Park. Each of the nine stone and thatched cottages at the Lodge provide breathtaking views of the plain and its birdlife and wildlife. As well as personal butler attendant at each cottage, Elsa's Kopje also offers an open bar, lounge and dining room. These are to be found at the top of the hill where the main area has an infinity pool surrounded by the lounge and dining areas. Game drives, night drives and fishing expeditions are on offer, as well as bush breakfasts, sundowners and visits to the Tharaka tribal village on the Southern Boundary of the Park.
