Mfuwe Lodge is situated in the famous South Luangwa National Park in Zambia. The lodge has 18 luxury en-suite thatched chalets, each with a private deck that overlooks a lagoon that attracts abundant wildlife. The lodge allows the visitor a special glimpse of Africa as she was long ago - untouched, unspoiled and unforgettable. Activities include game viewing, boat cruises, mokoro cruises, night drives, guided walks and bird watching.

...a three night safari weekend at the Mfuwe Lodge. The service was beyond great. We were greeted at the airport and taken to the lodge (approximately a 40 minute drive) right away. We were greeted at the lodge with cool drinks and our bags were delivered to our chalets.The chalets are magnificent. All have their own decks that look out over a Luangwa river lagoon. There were often elephants and hippos right outside our back doors. The safari vehicles are in terrific shape and the lodge arranges a coffee (or breakfast beer) stop during your morning drives as well as sundowners during your night drives. I cannot say enough good things about this lodge, though I am a pretty tough customer... I will be certain to return to the Mfuwe Lodge on my next trip to Zambia.
