Kalahari Kgalagadi Frontier Park was wonderful; it seemed much wilder and less organised than Kruger with less people there. No mobile phone signal. Accommodation at both camps was spacious and clean.

Kielekrankie was a lovely camp, very peaceful with beautiful views. Good animal sightings on the way to it also. Steve cooked an excellent steak, and with a Greek salad and with a bottle of ‘local red’ it took some beating. Changeover with Jaco went smoothly . Kalahari tented camp is also good but there is not such an atmosphere of tranquility, as it is slightly larger than Kielekrankie with not such a good view from patio. Jaco provided mouth watering braiis and salads each evening. We took a “sunset drive” with Jaco and eight Germans which was quite exciting in a raging thunderstorm. Unfortunately my camera was not up to catching the spectacular lightning effects.
