"From Portugal to Moçambique: thank you !"
That hotel takes us to other (good) time... but now we still have kind people, good food...and we hope new a Maputo coming after war !... I think it was a beautiful city when it calls Lourenço Marques !
We stayed in the polana in a standard room for 2 nights starting 3rd Jan 2007. We found the staff to be effiecient but not particularly friendly. Our room was basic and the decor dated and looking a little old. Apparently it is one of the renovated ones since it had tea and coffee making facilities. The room had air con but it just seemed to be on (which was quite cold) or off. So we weren't that impressed with the room, since we booked with the hotel directly and were paying roughly $210 per night which is a lot of money in moz.
We did however enjoy the breakfast. it was a standard 5* breakfast with pastries, meats, cooked stuffs, champagne and an omelette chef.
We also enjoyed the pool, it is large and away from the building so it gets sun for much of the day. The cocktail menu has a solid selection too.
So overall, we expected to get more according to the hotels reputation, but we did enjoy our stay.
