You can watch whales frolicking off the coast from your bed in the four-star, sea-front Hermanus On The Cliffs guest house. All rooms at On the Cliffs have panoramic sea views, as well as en-suite with king-size beds, private balconies or patios and luxury fittings. Bed and breakfast is included in room rates. On The Cliffs has a swimming pool. Activities in the area range from the adventurous (shark cage diving, paragliding) to more relaxing ways to pass the time (wine-tasting tours, a walk along the coast or even a picnic). After sight-seeing or a spot of shopping - Hermanus village centre is 1km away along a picturesque cliff path - you can relax in the On the Cliffs sauna or enjoy a beverage near a fireplace. Optional extras include massage, reflexology, beauty and aroma therapy. Wireless internet is available. Children under six years of age are not permitted at the guest house.

Excellent - we were very happy with everything
Impressed with standard of accommodation and friendliness. Well positioned right on bay road, with good views for whale watching.
Also went sharking diving at Gansbaai, where we saw 8 different sharks
Holiday was fabulous!
Very happy with our accommodation. Had lovely viewing of the whales from the boat and from shore
Stayed for a few days in early December and very impressed. Very cosy and friendly. The rooms were huge with great views of the sea (and the whales!). Also the is a great steak resturant just out of Hermanus, called B's. Make sure you have the Ultimate Onion!
Charmaine and Hylton were fabulous and the location was brilliant. The room was huge and comfortable, although personally not to my taste in decor. We passed Oceans 11 which is just down the road and that looked stunning!
