Merville Beach is a 3 star family hotel situated on the north-west corner of Mauritius in Grand Baie, 20 minutes from Port-Louis. The hotel has its own private beach and is within easy walking distance of the village. There are 169 twin/double bedded rooms, all air conditioned and with a sea facing balcony, TV/Video, direct dial telephone, radio, mini-bar, safe, hairdryer and private bathroom. The Terraced restaurant (seating 200) overlooks the freshwater swimming pool and sundeck. There is French, English, Creole and Chinese cuisine on offer. The hotel has a games room with table tennis, pool, TV, video shows and library. Services include laundry and direct transfers to airport. Watersports are free of charge and include scuba diving, canoeing, snorkelling, mini-sailing and water skiing. The tennis court is also available to residents at no cost. Other facilities include daily excursions on yachts, babysitting and golf.

Great setting, good size room for familiy. Average food.
Rated 3 out of 5. Reception area and ourside is modern but the rooms are quite basic for an exotic resort, needs updating quite a lot. Sharon
