Hotel was excellent. We walked through Featherbed Reserve (meeting a Derby County fan) and saw four of the Big 5 - what more could we have asked for. The disappointment was the Outeniqua Choo Tjoe which started from Wilderness not George and was drawn by a smelly diesel engine
Hotel was fine and we were extremely well looked after by our guide Mark who was very helpful and attentive. The drive to Knysna along the Garden Route was very enjoyable but we could have done with a little less time in Knysna maybe. It's a charming little place and the two golf courses were unmissable but the Featherbed eco-experience was a bit disappointing. 20 min on trailer inhaling diesel fumes going up a steep dusty track and a pretty precarious walk down again. Nice view from the top and a decent lunch but probably wouldn't recommend it.
Very happy. Loved Featherbed Bay. Also walked from Buffels Bay to Brenton on Sea with our guide Julie
Good location but barely adequate, we probably spent one night too many here, we could have spent one extra night on the way to the Thorn Tree.

Lovely view and facilities were fine for overnight stay
