Kwena Lagoon Camp South Luangwa Hotel Reviews Zambia Guided Walks Day and Night Wildlife Viewing Drives







HOTELS REVIEW – KWENA LAGOON CAMP SOUTH LUANGWA, ZAMBIA
Kwena Lagoon Camp is situated in the Luamfwa Concession in the southern sector of the South Luangwa National Park situated on the banks of the Luangwa River. Accommodation consists of eight safari-style tents (7 Twin/Double guest tents, 1 x Family guest tent). The eight safari tents each have an en-suite with both an indoor and outdoor shower. The camp's dining and bar area is situated under a canopy of giant ebony trees with a pool and viewing deck located to the side of the camp with views of the lagoon that may once have been part of the Luangwa River. Activities include guided walks and day and night wildlife viewing drives. Children of eight years and older are welcome, but only children over 16 are permitted on walks. Electricity for lights and fans is powered by a solar panel and stored in a battery outside each tent. Plug points providing 220v power are available for charging batteries. Portable water to the camp comes from a borehole and shower water is heated by solar panels.
