REVIEW - ABU ELEPHANT CAMP OKAVANGO BOTSWANA
Abu Camp is situated in a private game reserve in the heart of the Okavango Delta, Botswana. The camp has 6 luxury tents under a shady canopy in a riverine forest. Each tent has en-suite facilities with shower and bath, and private viewing deck overlooking the lagoon. Facilities include dining/bar areas, lounge and dining tent with big sofas, a library and study. Abu's Elephant Villa is a private unit on the opposite side of the lagoon, with 2 large en-suite bedrooms and a spacious sitting room (for 4 people) all on a raised teak deck beneath shady trees, a swimming pool and resident butler. Activities include riding/walking with elephants, game drives, night drives and mokoro safaris. Children over 8 years are welcome at Abu Camp. No age restictions apply to children staying in the Elephant Villa, which comes with its own game
vehicle/guide but excludes elephant activities.

Baines' Camp, named after the 19th century artist and explorer Thomas Baines, is situated next to the magnificent Moremi Game Reserve in the Okavango Delta in Botswana. Surrounded by rich foliage and cool water, the lodge offers luxury accommodation in 5 lavish suites, all on stilts. Each room has a mobile four-poster bed allowing guests to wheel their bed out onto the private wooden deck in order to sleep under the stars. All rooms are equipped with a hairdryer, safe, mini-bar and ceiling fan. Facilities include an outside dining area and a large swimming pool. Camp Moremi is situated at the furthest point of the Okavango Delta on the banks of the Xakanaxa Lagoon in the Moremi Game Reserve. It is an intimate camp hosting only 22 guests in 11 elegant East African style tents on raised teak platforms. Each unit has its own private bathroom next to the tent. The lodge has a dining room, lounge, bar and library. There is also a pool with wooden decking and a thatched boma. Wildlife such as lion, leopard, cheetah, hippo, giraffe and wild dog can be viewed on morning and afternoon game drives in the reserve. There is exceptional bird viewing on Xakanaxa Lagoon and in the Okavango waterways by motorboat. Children over 12 welcome.

The camp is skillfully integrated into the landscape, so guests can often view game without even leaving camp. A range of spa treatments are offered from May to October. Activities include game drives in open vehicles and mokoro canoe trips. Wild dog, lion, cheetah and leopard abound.
