Sand Rivers Lodge is situated on a curve on the North bank of the Rufiji River in the Selous Game Reserve. The area around the lodge consists of a wide variety of terrain, including steep hills, grassy plains, open woodland, marshes, and lakes that together attract a variety of game, birdlife and wild flowers. There are five standard rooms, two suites and a private one bedroom house - the Rhino House. Each standard room and suite has an en-suite bathrooms and views of the river. In addition, each suite has its own private lounge area and plunge pool. The Rhino House offers a private pool and pool bar, dining area and guide and car for game drives. Activities on offer at the lodge include boating on the Rufiji, game drives, bush walks, a night sleeping out under the stars and fishing. There is also the Selous Walking Safari - a four day wilderness walk in remote parts of the park.
