Mapenzi Beach Club is situated on the east coast of Zanzibar, approximately 45 kilometres from Zanzibar airport and Stone Town. The resort is set on the beach and surrounded by gardens. There are 87 bungalows, divided into three categories of garden-view, standard and sea-view. Every bungalow is decorated in the traditional Swahili style and has its own terrace, air conditioning, safe deposit box, hairdryer and telephone. There is a main restaurant that serves meals at set times during the day as well as a beach bar and pool bar. Facilities include tennis courts, games room with billiards and darts, watersports, aerobics studio, cycling, beach volleyball and a discotheque.
