Situated on a 10 hectare farm that borders on the Sperrgebiet (forbidden diamond mining area).One of the highlights of the area are the Namib Desert Wild Horses which are often found near the lodge. 24 Self-catering units with en-suite facilities and a fan in each room. Camping is also available. For self-catering there are two different accommodation options, Eagle’s Nest Lodge and the Desert Horse Inn. Activities include horse riding; trips to the Naukluft Park to view Feral Horses; dune driving, climbing the extinct volcanic mountain ‘Dikke Willem’; hiking trails, sightseeing, sunset drives, tours to historical sites such as the Schutztruppe ruins, army prison camp and burial ground dating back to 1914 (World War 1).
