HOTEL REVIEW - ACAJOU HOTEL
The Acajou hotel is named after the acajou (mahogany) trees which were specifically cultivated for the construction of this environmentally friendly resort. Lying directly on the famous Cote d'Or beach the hotel is surrounded by natural tropical vegetation that has been carefully landscaped to suit the surrounding forest. The hotel has 32 rooms spread out amongst the forest, each near the beach and with a sea-facing balcony. All rooms also have air conditioning, a mini bar, en suite bathroom, satellite television, mini fridge and direct dial telephone. The Acajou hotel has a beach restaurant and bar in addition to the main restaurant that serves a mix of table d'hote and buffet meals. There is also a massage centre, internet lounge and gym on site. The hotel can organise car and bicycle hire, island excursions and scuba diving.

HOTEL REVIEW - ALLAMANDAL TCLUB RESORT

Allamandal Tclub Resort is located twenty minutes from the airport in the south of Mahe Island. Its location on the island emphasises the natural tropical foliage, lagoon, granite boulders and beach that surround the resort. Rooms at the resort are divided into three categories; Ocean View, Jacuzzi Ocean View and Deluxe Jacuzzi. Each room has a large outdoor balcony with day chairs from which to enjoy the view as well as air conditioning, cable television, dvd player, ipod docking station and a telephone. The Palms Restaurant on site provides a variety of culinary options, whilst the Ocean View bar offers a daily happy hour and regular entertainment. The resort has a full wedding service and also caters for honeymooners. Additional activities offered include visits to the Botanical Gardens and Marine Park, fishing and sailing.

Bamboo River Villa is a small self catering hotel on the northern coast of Mahe Island. Only a minute walk away from the beach the hotel consists of two apartments with sea views, balconies, air conditioning, televisions, a fully-equipped kitchen, garden with swimming pool and a well equipped barbeque area. There is a daily maid service as well as cooking service available on request. Linen, bath towels and swimming towels are provided. The hotel is located conveniently near restaurants and various watersport, fishing and diving facilities.

Banyan Tree's location on Mahe Island provides for breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean and the nearby white sandy beaches. Consisting of a variety of villas, the Banyan Tree combines contemporary and colonial decor to create a unique and eclectic ambience. There are sixty villas in total, including beach villas, hill villas and a presidential villa that is situated in a private cove on the water's edge. Each villa has its own private swimming pool. There is a bar, fully equipped spa and gymnasium all easily accessible from the villas, as well as two restaurants, one that serves exclusively thai food and another that serves a variety of international cuisine.

HOTEL REVIEW - BERJAYA BEAU VALLON BEACH RESORT & CASINO

This modern resort is located on the north west coast of Mahe Island near the famous Beau Vallon Bay beach. The surrounding natural tropical gardens have been landscaped to form the resort's grounds. Accommodation at the resort is available in 232 rooms in eight two-storey buildings spread out across the grounds. The rooms are comfortably furnished and include amenities such as air-conditioning, television, en suite bathrooms and private balconies. There are a number of restaurants on site providing a variety of culinary options including Le Canton Chinese Restaurant, a pizzeria and Teppanyaki corner for traditional japanese food. The resort has a number of recreational activities on offer including tennis, watersports, deep sea fishing, diving and of course enjoying the casino games.

HOTEL REVIEW - BIRD ISLAND LODGE

Bird Island is the most northerly of all islands making up the Seychelles Archipelago and is a thirty minute flight away from Mahe Island. The Bird Island Lodge is the only lodge on the island and consists of twenty-four chalets with no televisions, air conditioning or telephones. Each chalet does have ceiling fans, a king size bed, en suite bathroom and large sea facing balcony. The lodge has a restaurant and bar on site, the restaurant serves buffets consisting of mainly local ingredients. Children are welcome at the lodge and each chalet can take up to two children and two adults. Activities on offer at the lodge include bird and turtle watching, boat trips, snorkeling, billiards and table tennis. The lodge has won an eco-tourism award for its management of the birds on the island.

This boutique resort consists of twelve private villas, each air conditioned and equipped with satellite telvision, DVD and CD player and private balcony. Several of the villas also have their own garden as well as living area and lounge. The resort has a cocktail and beach bar as well as a restaurant on site - the 1756 - that serves traditional Creole and French cuisine and that also offers private dining.

The hotel is conveniently located in the centre of La Digue making it ideal for exploration of the rest of the island. Accommodation is offered six standard rooms, six superior rooms and four deluxe rooms. All the rooms have air conditioning as well as fans, a dial direct telephone and en suite bathrooms.
