HOTEL REVIEW - LE DOMAINE DE FONTENAY

Le Domaine de Fontenay is situated in northern Madagascar on the outskirts of Joffreville. The century old building was originally the homestead of a wealthy French settler and is situated within luscious tropical gardens at the foot of the 300 hectare Montagne d'Ambre National Park. The hotel has 8 rooms and a suite that is in the main house. All the rooms are spacious and carefully decorated with soft furnishings. Every room has an en suite bathroom. The restaurant uses the best of the local produce available to create authentic French cuisine and delicious barbecue meals. Guests at the hotel can enjoy guided walks throughout the surrounding gardens and national park as well as one day four wheel drive trips to various nearby locations of interest such as the Red Tsingy of Irodo and the Tsingy of Ankarana.
